I have been creating these delightful handcrafted dolls for the last 15 years. Originally, I made them for my three children and together we created little fairy houses in the woods. They were so popular with all their friends, I found myself with a home business perfect for a mom. I make two styles of dolls; miniature doll house play dolls and Waldorf dolls. The waldorf dolls are made from natural fibers; 100% cotton interlock from Holland, clean carded wool for stuffing, mohair and wool for the hair. Waldorf inspired dolls have simple features so that the child can use his/her imagination to include the full range of human emotions. The child decides if the doll is laughing, crying, or sleeping. The doll will become more that a toy it will be a companion for your child. My woods are full of mushrooms so I was itching to make a mushroom waldorf sprite for alters and nature tables. Here she sits gently nestled by a mossy log with her child. She has some plant dyed wool roving round her base to represent the earth and moss through which they emerged.
